Marine Demolition - Rail Road Trestle Removal

The once thriving Old Colony Railroad that passed over the great divide of the North River delivering passengers and cargo throughout the South Shore ended in 1938. Since then, the old trestle had been abandoned and was in need of removal. Demolition was sighted by the Army Corps of Engineers and to be overseen by the adjacent towns. Offshore Marine was awarded the contract to perform all phases of demolition and stabilization above and below the waterline.
